Borrello and Contrada Baronessa are laid to an elevation of 410 meters, between the Sangro river downstream and upstream Colle San Matteo, in the mountain village of Borrello.
This is the bottom of the ancient Pylos, purchased in 1560 by Marsilio our ancestor Tiberius, a strip of land where unspoiled nature still appears in its most authentic expression. Here you can meet deers, foxes, wild boars, squirrels, dormice, otters, hawks, reptiles and aquatic birds. Someone has even spotted wild cat. Our family lives on this land for centuries and here we spent the summer holidays of our childhood. At this place are tied our memories and affections of the games to continue to feed them and we tried to stop their image while preserving the character of the town and crops. Today you can stay in what were once old farm buildings from which, in the tradition of farming and local materials, and the use of alternative energy sources, we have obtained these structures (units) independent. |
